Description: Spatter Ware Pepper Pot Caster Shaker >br> Simple elegant bulbous shaker. These were generally made in Staffordshire England around the mid 19th Century and exported for the American market. The shaker features a bulbous body on a pedestal base with pierced top and applied blue sponge pattern. Note the underglaze finger prints on this piece!Circa 1850-70. Unmarked. Approx 4.75"H X 2.5" W. Provenance: Prominent Private Collection Condition: Nice condition, tight hairline/craze mark to one side, otherwise minor imperfections to be expected.
