Description: This used 50 Spanish peseta note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Spain. It is a purple, green, pink, and blue note that is dated 22 July 1935, bear the signatures of Alfredo Zavala Lafora, Adolfo Castaño Orejon, and Joaquin Serrano Montero, and measures 131 mm x 90 mm. Its obverse side features Fame, Minerva, and Santiago Ramon y Cajal. Its reverse side shows the bronze and granite monument to Santiago Ramon y Cajal by Victorio Macho. Though the note does not have a security thread, it has a watermark of Santiago Ramon y Cajal. The note was withdrawn in 1939.
