The SpaceX suit is first because it is revolutionary. The images in this auction are the actual figure built in our YouTube video. Only one figure per auction…and only five available. This limited-edition kit contains high quality parts and full video instructions will show you how to put them together. It may be a challenging build for beginners, but if you have patience and basic modeling skills, you can have an impressive astronaut figure in an afternoon. If you have built a model car or plane, you should be good to go. The SpaceX Dragon Suit The most exciting space suit of a generation is now flying for NASA; SpaceX partnered with longtime superhero movie costume designer Jose Fernandez from 2016 onward to get the look right first — and then reverse-engineered Fernandez’s creation to meet the utilitarian demands of protecting space-bound astronauts. Unlike previous NASA suits, it is not bulky-looking and has far fewer parts. The helmet is permanently attached to the suit, eliminating the need for pressure bearings. Life support systems plug into the torso and then into the Dragon seat. The gloves feature contact materials to allow use of touch screens rather than independent mechanical switches. The highest quality parts are included in this kit! 1. The helmet kit is in three parts, printed from an industrial SLS printer, then bead blasted to a fine finish. It requires light sanding and painting. The one used by SpaceX is made by 3D printing too! 2. 1/6 scale narrow shoulder body - fully articulated with extras. 3. One piece white flight suit 4. Highly detailed flight boots 5. Mueller padding foam 6. Self-adhesive cloth suit graphics. A special industrial adhesive is used which bonds fabric to fabric in minutes…amazing stuff. 7. A very nice quality head sculpt is included free in these first kits. Be aware that the SpaceX helmet fits very snugly. The hair on this particular sculpt will need to be trimmed to fit; just make changes to the non-visual areas of ears and back of the head. Or just purchase a sculpt with less hair on eBay, and use this sculpt for another character. You will need these household items: 1. Elmers Glue or equivalent. 2. Acrylic model paints in gloss white, flat white, gloss black, and dark grey. 3. Xacto knife, cutting pad, and straight edge ruler. 4.
