Description: Soviet Era War Veteran’s Badge. This is GUARANTEED 100% ORIGINAL item made in the USSR, not a post-Soviet reissue or modern replica! The design features the standard Soviet Hammer and Sickle emblem with an addition of a rifle with bayonet. The word ВЕТЕРАН (“Veteran”) is written across the bottom. Because it doesn’t specify the war, it could be worn by a participant of any armed conflict from Revolution and Civil War to WW2 and Afghan War. The badge is in aluminum and paint. The pin is quite well made; in anodized aluminum with enamel and lacquer, measures 26 mm tall, 23 mm wide. The reverse has a relatively early Soviet era logo of the Experimental Production and Advertisement Center in Moscow. It also shows a retail price of 50 kopeks, which was pretty steep by contemporary Soviet standards (most other badges of this type sold in kiosks for 15-20 kopeks.)
