We have five different models of this Hp for different applications. We Do Not use Open Drip Proof Rotary Motors for any of our Phase Converters as you find on Ebay. . The simple reason is. They are cheaper to purchase, (very cheap compared to a TEFC Motor) and they are much cheaper to ship ( they have no iron in the motors) so they don't weigh very much. but they also suck dust, dirt, ants and other critters into the rotary motor, which causes it to run hot over time. No different then your air conditioner filter, when they get clogged up and cannot cool, then your rotary motor is doing the same thing.. The motor windings will fill up with all that dust & dirt and then burn out. We have seen it over & over thru the years. Then their warranty will say. You should have used an air hose and blown it out. So after years of going thru that problem, we have learned to only use Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled Cast Iron Rotary Motors. We have learned this over the years and it is problem free.. Actually they have more power output then an open drip proof motor because of the amount of iron in the motor. . They are a lot more heavier duty for commercial or industrial applications. All Southern Phase Converters come with a Wall Mounted Control Panel Matched to the Hp of the Rotary Motor for Balanced Output CNC compatible, with Start/Stop & Digital Controls.
