Description: Vintage Solomon Islands WW2 Painted Wooden Scrapbook & Malaita Kila Club RARE This is a rare and beautiful WW2 scrapbook lot of a soldier who served in the Solomon Islands. The scrapbook is bound with bent nails and the cover is made of hand painted varnished wood. Inside the scrap book are disassembled pages from an Alberto Vargas art book. There are also original pieces illustrated by the soldier who seems to be an artist and a fan of Vargas. Poetry and clippings of starlets and pin up models are also found within, in addition to photos from time spent stationed in the Solomon Islands. In addition to this wonderful book is a Malaita style Kila war club that has been painted by the soldier/artist. This is a rare lot and would make a notable addition to any WWII collection.
