Issued in 1976 by Hamilton Mint, the medals depict "The Spirit of 1776, the "Declaration of Independence," "The Battle of Bunker Hill," and "Crossing the Delaware," on the front side of the coin and "A Bicentennial Tribute From World Book" on the back. Each medal also includes the dates 1776-1976 on the front and back of the coin.Each coin is 1 1/2 inches in diameter and is 1/8 inch thick and weighs approximately 26 grams The Certificate of Authenticity is included with the set and features the serial number of the set, certified date and signature of Field Enterprises Educational Corporation representative. The protective hard-shell case is navy blue in color with a gold band between the top and bottom lid and measures 8 inches long x 2 1/4 inches wide x 7/8 inches deep. In mint condition.
