Description: This necklace is part of the Pop Art line and is called Popinho Longo. This is the Blue Programado version which features a multi color stripe in blue, green and white with black glass seed and bugle bead spacers. It measures a very long 56" adn the beads are 5/8" in diameter. This was created as a necklace but they were made with two lobster claws for closure so it could be converted to be worn as a bracelet or belt. This is part of a huge purchase from the Paris vintage inventory. I purchased whatever they had from the Programado line plus many, many, many other items. The first United Nations Conference to address environmental degradation was held in Stockholm in 1972. Already at that time the designer Carlos Sobral was working with resin and creating new techniques and alternative products to reuse all the raw material he consumed in the production of his collections. All Sobral production strictly follows the current environmental standards; however, Sobral goes further by putting into practice the zero disposal of raw material.
