You can direct sow them anytime from late fall to very early spring and they will germinate when the time is right. These seeds are very tiny so if direct seeding it's best to use the shaker method where you mix your seeds with 1/4 cup of dry sand and use an old spice shaker (that's clean), or other container with holes in it, to evenly disperse your seeds. You can also mix your packet with one gallon of dry screened peat and spread by hand. Snapdragons need light to germinate to after sowing give them a very light dusting with peat so as to disguise them from birds.You can also start these over winter in pots to get an early start on spring flowers.
