SNAP ON IM1800. IM1800L, BLUE POINT PT1800, PT1800A MODIFIED THROTTLE VALVE KITS

Description: This ebay fixed price auction provides a tool solution repair for all Snap On IM1800, IM1800L, Blue Point PT1800 and PT1800A 1"drive pneumatic impact wrenches. The avatar photo above shows replacement throttle valve balls (2), (1) new style coiled throttle valve spring, (2) air inlet bushing o'ring seals and (2) throttle pin shaft o'rings. 7 pieces total. My special installation instructions and service notes are offered below. I suggest reading through what I have written to get perfect repair results with your tool using my modified replacement parts. If your tool blows air through the exhaust when initially attached to the service air line or the throttle system does not operate with the trigger pull and then shut off this kit is designed to help with that issue. Look for casting cracks in the handle and with the reverse valve spool also. Provided in this lot are as shown above and stated below. Note my exceptions as stated: IM1800-2..............as the throttle valve pin o'ring. This o'ring needs to be installed on the pin, lubed and patiently inserted into the handle bore when finally installed. Avoid chipping this o'ring but if you do there is a second one in the kit. Sometimes a slight bevel made on the sharp edge of the pin hole in the handle helps this installation achieve better results. IM1800-4..............the OEM polyurethane semi-sphere or mushroom throttle valve is obsolete. It was $42 when last offered by Snap On. If your old IM1800-4 sphere is still sealing properly then use the new OEM IM1800-5 throttle valve spring I provide. If your OEM TV sphere is not sealing then use the black ball (new modified part IM1800-4A and lighter shorter spring new modified part IM1800-5A) I provide as the alternative. Do not use the OEM black heavy and longer black OEM throttle valve spring because the throttle system will not work and seal as designed. This is no other throttle valve kit made by anybody else to keep this fine old tool working as designed. Please note my avatar photo insert above for clarification to my statements made here. Use the parts exactly as I have them drawn out and located. I precision drilled a small index hole in the new black replacement ball(s) I provide. That hole is a tight fit onto the small dowel end of the IM1800-3 TV pin. The small black o'ring IM1800-2 fits onto the TV shaft to seal it into the handle housing bore. Make sure to thoroughly clean the handle internal air passages during any tool repairs. Focus on dirt and grit removal with brake cleaner to allow smooth sliding movement of the throttle valve pin in the bore with the newly installed o'ring. Replace the throttle pin if there is a obvious wear pattern on the side of the pin. Look carefully at the pin end which contacts the trigger inside the handle. There are no new triggers available. The handle grip is also changed with the trigger. Failure to do these things may cause the throttle valve system to pass air and leak uncontrollably. Add clean lube to the TV pin and be careful not to twist the thin sealing o'ring on the IM1800-7 hose adapter when reinstalling it.
