Description: SNACK TIME is an original, 8X10 inch oil painting of a Hereford Cow and Calf, the Calf is getting a quick snack before running off again to play with the other calves. I love Herefords. We had them on our ranch when I was growing up. You could always tell calving season had started when you had to share the bathroom with the occasional sick calf. It is painted on an acid free canvas panel. I am a self-taught artist. I've been painting and for over 30 years. I have always loved animals and have lived closely with them in rural Montana, so they are my favorite subject in my paintings. My style of painting is Impressionism. I try to push color as much as I can. I use thick strokes of paint to give the painting a rich texture. My paintings are all similar in style and subject so they look good together in small groups but strong enough on their own to offer an accent to any area.
