Smith & Wesson Model 63 No Dash PINNED 4 Inch Barrel Assembly with Pin

Description: READ FULL LISTING!! IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY and CONDITION NOTES!! SCARCE FIND!! Up for sale is a Nice overall condition, clean 4 Inch Revolver Barrel Assembly (and also includes the factory Original Barrel Pin) that originated from a well cared-for S&W Model 63 No Dash Revolver. For the sake of disclosure, the actual total length of the Barrel from muzzle to the back of the Forcing Cone is 4 1/8 Inches. Condition is favorable for a vintage barrel that's been out of production for roughly 40 years. There are some small handling marks and a couple light scratches present and some wear to the surface of the Red Ramp Sight Blade Insert - the following remarks would be the most notable to consider: - A light rub mark, and couple of smaller marks exist on the Anti-Glare Surface on the top of the Barrel, on the right side surface, near the rear of the Barrel. - There are a couple small surface scratches, only a couple millimeters long, on the left side of the Barrel near the rear, where the shape begins to curve to the underside. - There are a couple nicks on the front Muzzle of the Barrel - The plastic Red Ramp Sight Insert in the Front Sight Blade does show some wear and minor blemishes to the upper surface and to the outer edges, where it has rounded slightly on the upper left edge of the Insert, and overall sits fractionally lower than the plane of the Sight Blade itself. When holding the Barrel, looking to its front (as if you were holding the revolver to fire) these detractions are visible, but minor. We simply want to make sure this information is disclosed right up front! Beyond the comments above, there are some faint to light handling marks from general wear and use, but the Barrel has maintained a very favorable appearance for its age. The Bore is bright and shiny with no pitting or corrosion and the Rifling is strong. The Forcing Cone and the Barrel "Twists" are intact. The Locking Lug and its Spring function as they should. Although the Anti-Glare Serrations that run lengthwise on the top of the Barrel do show some minuscule handling marks, they are in remarkably nice shape considering the age of this Barrel. Overall, this Barrel Assembly is in pleasing condition, both cosmetically and operationally. Please examine the many high-resolution images in the photoset - preferably on a large screen desktop or laptop computer - so that there is a realistic expectation of the condition of the Assembly when taking delivery. PLEASE READ INFO ON COMPATIBLE MODELS COMPLETELY: - The item(s) listed here are from a S&W Vintage "J Frame" revolver and are not compatible with other size frame revolvers. - To the best of our knowledge, as a general rule of thumb, date of manufacture of compatible models will be from 1977 thru about 1982 on the Model 63 No Dash ONLY. If you were to install this Barrel on a Model 63-1 or a 63-2, you would need to omit the use of the Barrel Pin as those Models did not have the barrel Pin hole tapped through the frame: Please consult your gunsmith regarding compatibility with those models.
