Smith & Wesson Barrel 4 Inch Model 681 No Dash Stainless

Description: Scarce Find!! Up for sale is a Very Nice overall condition factory original Vintage Smith & Wesson 681 Complete Revolver Barrel Assembly in 4 Inch Length with highly-desirable full-underlug on the Barrel. This Assembly originated from was a Model 681 No Dash revolver, manufactured in the early 1980's. Regarding condition, there are a few light to moderate handling marks, small nicks and minor scratches present, but this Barrel Assembly is in overwhelmingly nice condition considering its age. It has escaped being subject to any major or offensive scratches, dings or detractions that are objectionable. The Locking Lug and its Spring are functional and responsive. The rifling is decent, the bore is bright and shiny and the crown is free from blemishes. At the rear of the Barrel, the Forcing Cone and the "mounting twists" are nicely intact, and there is no sight of any evidence of corrosion anywhere on this assembly. At the Front, the Crown is intact, and the Front Sight Blade - although does show some edge wear and a few minuscule nicks - is in great shape. On top, the Anti-Glare Surfaces are in very nice condition with the Bead-Blasted surfaces exhibiting only a few small to faint rub marks and nicks. As per some of the more notable handling marks, there are several close-up images provided that offer a decent look at those spots in particular. Please take a moment to view the extensive photoset provided - preferably on a large screen desktop or laptop monitor, in order to get zoomed in close for the best examination of it's condition. We simply want the Buyer to have a realistic expectation of the condition of the Barrel Assembly when taking delivery. As for Compatible Models, to the best of our knowledge, this Revolver Barrel Assembly would only be a suitable replacement for the following models ONLY: - Model 681 No Dash (This was the original application for this Barrel, shipped approx. 1980 - 1985) - Models 681-1, 681-2, 681-3 should also be compatible, as the changes to those models only saw minor engineering differences with other aspects of the revolvers - such as yoke retention systems, hammer bushing enhancements, floating hands, etc - but to the Best of our Knowledge, the actual design of the Barrel Assembly didn't change from the original 681 No Dash all the way thru to the 681-3. As with any vintage gun parts there may be minor imperfections and we have attempted to capture a fair rendition of the condition of the Assembly in the image set. See photos for full description.
