Description: Old Smith Corona mechanical writing machine / typewriter. Sterling model. Has some corrosion (rust) I took some tighter shots of, scratches, scuffs, etc.. Still a very presentable machine. Lightly cleaned, new ribbon installed on the spools I found it with. Tested as best I know and all the functions seem to be working fine, it is running smoothly, and you should be able to start typing with it right away. Rubber is not bad for the vintage. Smells like a typewriter, could use a couple days in the sun. No paperwork, but does come with a key for the case. Case is "okay", scuffs, few spots of paint spatter, etc.. I am enthusiastic about typewriters, but by no means an expert or professional repair person. Pictures of the typeface can be seen in the gallery as well as a tight shot of the serial number. All pictures were taken outside in natural light and are a big part of the description. Please review them carefully, use the zoom, and make sure this machine will work for you.
