Description: Pictured is an early small sponged spatterware under plate offered for sale. The little plate has a coarse sponged decoration & a novel deep lavender coloration which is seldom seen. It measures 1" in height & 4 3/8" in diameter. It's in excellent condition with no nicks, damage or repairs and dates from 1860 - 1885. The underside has slight discoloration.
