Description: I work for a goldsmith, and I got these pearls from my boss' pearl dealer, who sells only saltwater cultured pearls. That means Akoya, South Sea and Tahitian -- nothing Chinese and no freshwater. Our dealer sold me a parcel of small baroque Tahitians in a range of shapes and colors. We're talking very baroque -- very not round, very not perfect, very not matching -- but I made a pair of these two because they're both roughly the same size (about 7.7mm, and 10mm long) and the same great silvery-blue frosty color, with interesting ridges. Plus, I like that they're different. The little 14 karat gold palmettes are vintage findings -- they look like the tops of fleur-de-lis. They're not marked but they acid test as 14 karat gold. I can send you photo of scratch test results if you're interested. The total length of these earrings is 21.5mm, just under 7/8." Butterfly backs in 14 karat gold are included. Total weight: 1.9 grams Thanks for looking!
