Description: A small and pretty antique Victorian rosewood writing box inlaid with mother of pearl and with brass escutcheon.Inset brass carrying handles at each end.. With lock and key which still work. Three secret drawers hidden by removable internal panel. I have included a short video below to show how the panel is released. In good polished condition but missing the the internal writing slope lids a compartment bottom and there appears to have been stringing to the box which is now missing. In spite of the losses this is still a very attractive and useful little box. Otherwise as seen. Dimensions 16” long x 9 ¾” wide x 6” high. Please see images below.
