Description: This is a vintage Emergent Reader book that has a wonderful history. There was a time (in St. Joseph County, Michigan) when the many small rural schools had a common library which circulated books from one school to another in rotation. When the schools started having their own dedicated librarys, the program ended and many of the books were to be thrown out. Many, however, were saved from the dumpster by a lady who has held onto them for these many years. Each of them is, by now, a rare treasure from the past.
