Description: Hello and welcome to my page. Up for your purchasing pleasure is this beautiful cross pendant, turquoise on silver. It acid tested positive and nicely for sterling, but as it is not marked, I cant state for sure what fineness the metal is. Its signed on the back with MHM.Hougart's book on Native American Hallmarks (4th Ed) on pages 227 and 228 states that M H M (yes spaced so) is the shared stamp of Mark and Huberta Martinez; a Zuni and Navajo couple. I could find no examples of their work on any of my internet searches. So its only my best guess that this is a Zuni cross by Mark or Huberta Martinez; I could be totally wrong. But the piece certainly has the look of Zuni craftmanship, in my opinion. Necklace pendant and charm altogether is about 19 inches long and weighs about 4.8 grams. Good condition, normal scuffs and scratches vintage items carry. It also has a cute sterling silver fish pendant marked sterling. Decorative props are for size comparison and stylistic use only; please, no returns. The shipping time varies for international buyers; for American buyers I should have it in the mail a few days or so after I get paid; I take items to the post office. However there are times I can not drive due to a medical condition, so there could be a delay. Then its all up to how fast the post office goes; but you will have tracking numbers to see where it is. Thanks for visiting, and may you have a joyous day. And please stay healthy, stay happy, and I hope all my readers find peace and joy in these troubled times.
