Description: ANTIQUE PAIRPOINT SILVER PLATE FOOTED BASKET 1244. Also called a Cake Basket, Handled Cake Pedestal, or a Tea Tray for pastry. It measures approx. 10" in total diameter, 9” internal, and stands 4 3/4" high not including the bail handle. Well marked on the bottom. Plating is in good condition outside of handle, now shown in contrast of brass. Entire piece is in good antique condition without any dings or dents. Ruffled silver edge catches light beautifully even without being fully polished. Etched shell and daisy pattern on the platter surface indicates possible antique, definitely vintage Could use a good polish, but good condition overall
