( see my store for about 20 other types of crab apples ) This is small deciduous garden tree which grows to 20 feet high and 15 feet wide; upright, rounded form; white flowers; dark red fruit. Flowers form in April. They consist of single blossoms, and typically last for 10 days before they are shed. They have a nice fragrance. Flowers morph to the typical small apple over the summer. When they mature in the fall they turn a most pleasing brilliant red color. They will hang on the tree well into the winter months, providing song birds with a steady food supply.
