Koenig. Also, there is an original pencil sketch by Dwig on the signed page. Herman Charles Koenig (1893–1959) was a publisher, writer, and collector of first editions and fantasy literature. He was an avid fan of fantasy fiction and contributed articles to early fanzines. Koenig was also a friend of H.P. Lovecraft and a member of his informal literary circle, the Kalem Club. He collaborated with August Derleth to publish Lovecraft's work and privately printed some of Lovecraft's writings during his lifetime. Koenig played a role in promoting the works of British author William Hope Hodgson in the United States. His efforts included circulating Hodgson's books and writing an introduction for a reprint of four Hodgson novels by Arkham House in 1946. 12mo, 107 pages, publisher's original pictorial dust jacket.
