This book is a first edition, SIGNED by the author in blue ink on the first blank page after the decorated flyleaf. Hubbed spine hardcover book with Smyth-sewn acid-free pages, bound in top grain red leather with gold gilt design to boards and spine, and gilt text block edges. I consider the book to be in overall good pre-owned condition (based on Ebay's condition rating guidelines). There are small areas of the gold gilt decorated cover boards that have rubbed off, and multiple (small) areas of gilt rubbed from the text block edges. The binding has very slightly shifted over time (does not lay completely square). The pages are very clean and appear to be free from writing, creasing, tearing or stains.
