The pot and cups are each decorated with a Japanese country scene. There are buildings, a stream with a water wheel, trees, hills, and blossoming trees and has a bamboo handle. The building roofs and some of the trees have gold highlights. I believe that the decorations are hand painted, they are not smooth as a decal would be. The cups are marked by the manufacturer but I cannot read Japanese. See the pictures for details of the signature and details of the decorations.
