Description: THE BOOK IS IN NEAR FINE CONDITION WITH LIGHT DUST ON EXPOSED PAGE EDGES, AGE RELATED PAPER TONING, AND MINIMAL IMPERFECTIONS AT THE EDGE OF THE COLORED END PAPERS (PHOTO 11). IT IS INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY ALFRED P SLOAN AND THEN SIGNED BELOW BY JOHN MCDONALD AND BELOW THAT BY CATHARINE STEVENS. DESPITE COPYRIGHT DATE OF 1963, THE LIBRARY OF CONGRESS NUMBER BEGINS WITH "64" AND I THEREFORE ASSUME IT WAS ACTUALLY FIRST PRINTED IN 1964 IN THE UNITED STATES. I BELIEVE THERE IS A UK VERSION PRINTED IN 1963. THE BOOK IS TIGHT, SQUARE AND CLEAN INSIDE. NO CREASES OR TEARS. THE ONLY WRITING IS THE INSCRIPTIONS. THE OWNER OBVIOUSLY FELT THAT THIS BOOK SHOULD NOT BE HANDLED AFTER GETTING THE THREE SIGNATURES. Uncommon signed copy as Sloan died in early 1966, at 90 years old. I have not seen another copy signed by both editors also. Only a handful of business books have reached the status of a classic, having withstood the test of over thirty years' time. PLEASE NOTE: For book sales, I virtually always include a vinyl bag tightly wrapped on the exterior. This is an attempt to prevent any USPS employee from opening the package for inspection as it would be time consuming for them to repackage it. This is done simply because my packaging is done more carefully than their repackaging and also to protect the book from the elements. The vinyl bag covers cardboard protection and you can simply cut the bag open (carefully) and remove the contents. The cardboard protection is also typically held with tape and cutting in the obvious places will allow the cardboard to pop right open, exposing the book (in another protective vinyl bag). Using this method, you should be able to open any book I send in under a minute. No "buzz saw" is required. Thank you
