Description: Sigi Pineda Large Sterling Thunderbird Pendant with Jade A rare large pendant by Sigi Pineda of a bird or Thunderbird with a central jade cabochon and blue stone faceted cabochon eye. Pendant measures 2 3/4" across and 3 1/4" high including the bale. Thick sterling. Currently suspended from a sterling silver Taxco neck ring. Pendant is marked with the Sigi Tasco hallmark, early Eagle 36, Mexico and a partial design number 9. Neck ring measures about 16" around, has a secure hook closure and is marked Mexico 925. Set is in fine condition with minor wear and a little tarnish. Unusual rare design.
