SHORT antique EAPG glass CREAM PITCHER creamer HARVARD yard TARENTUM clear 1896

Description: Offered for sale is a beautiful antique EAPG glass CREAM PITCHER, made by Tarentum Glass. The pattern name is HARVARD, aka Harvard Yard. It was introduced in 1897. The pattern has a deeply pressed design of large and small diamonds, with smooth curved arches between them, and a scalloped rim at the top. The handle was applied by hand, not molded on. The glass is thick and heavy, which contributes to the shipping weight. The creamer stands 5 inches (12.7cm) tall to the top of the handle. It's about 3 1/2 inches (8.9cm) in diameter at the widest part, and the base ring measures 2 3/4 inches (7.0cm) in diameter. A U.S. quarter is shown in the third picture, to give an accurate impression of the size at a glance. It is in USED condition. Minor lime scale is visible in the deep grooves of the pattern, mostly on the medallion on the bottom (picture 5). One small chip and crack at top of the handle where it joins to the creamer (pictures 6 and 7). There is no damage on body of creamer. All of my items are from a SMOKE FREE home.
