Description: For sale is this postcard of a 1,864 foot high mountain at Shiprock, New Mexico called "Ship of the Desert" due to its resemblance to a windjammer style sailing vessel. It is a linen postcard. Postcards from 1930 to 1944 were printed on a linen texture paper. They also used brightly colored inks. This postcard has a divided back and is unposted. The colorization was by Curteich-Chicago using its C.T. Art-Colortone colorization technique. The item was given an image number 234 and was distributed by Southwest Post Card Co., Box 685, Albuquerque, N.M. There is no wear or writing on this card. There is a disclosed minute spot on the left of the mountain image on the top edge. Please see photographs for an accurate depiction of the condition of this item.
