Description: This vintage real photo postcard features American actress, singer and dancer, Sheree North (1932-2005). She achieved prominence in the 1950's and 1960's. Her mother was a vaudeville performer and North began her stage career as a child. When Sheree was 17, she made her film debut. She received much notice for her beauty and energetic dance routines. She was soon cast in a series of films, including "Sunny Side of the Street" (1951) and "How to be Very Very Popular" (1955). She also appeared in a number of television shows. Some of the shows were variety shows and she was able to showcase her singing and dancing skills. It was during the mid-1960's when Sheree began to play more serious acting roles. She appeared in the dramas "Madame X" (1966) and "The Incident" (1967). Sheree remained active as a singer throughout her career. She recorded albums and performed in nightclubs. She was known for singing jazz standard and show tunes. This postcard was published by Cliche International Press as part of a series (No.553).
