This achievement made it possible to acquire a watch with the same functions as those of the time for less than 1/1000th of the price, marking a world first. As a historically significant timepiece, it has received numerous honors. In December 1996, it won the "Watch of the Year" and the "Jury's Special Award" at the World Photo Press event. The following year, it became a permanent exhibit at the International Watch Museum in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, the most prestigious museum of its kind globally.
