Supplied to pre-war and post-war vehicles including Jaguar SS, MKIV, MKV and XK120 Models. Jaguar Part No. C.994 The jaws adjust smoothly and are in very good condition with no apparent signs of misuse, while the natural patina along with any inherent manufacturing marks commensurate with age, have been preserved. The adjusting knob, having the correct two rows of knurled grip, and the thread screw, are in excellent condition facilitating confident operation. Manufactured in natural steel with a fine machine-surfaced application, and a Black Oxide / Oil Sealed factory finish. Both 'Shelley' and 'King Dick' brands were available and interchangeable during this period, with slight size variations.
