Description: This is such a cool piece of oil & gas, transportation, Los Angeles, CA, and West Coast history! This is a Shell Oil promotional map made for the city of Los Angeles, CA in 1936. My favorite part of this is the "Traffic Rules" that are listed when you first flip the map open -- these date the piece and make it unique. I also love the colorful graphics that pop. The mountains and ocean illustration are something you just don't see in modern day maps. Good vintage condition; there is some penciling in of addresses (honestly this adds to the fun history of the piece, for me anyway) when you fold out the map -- see photos.
