Description: I have up for sale a wonderful vintage original c1930s Sheaffer Lifetime 1000 Carmine Red Fountain Pen and 400 Mechanical Pencil set in the original box. The pen is a Lever-Fill fountain pen with 14K Gold Nib . It measures approx 5-1/8" capped . Currently there is No ink sac , so you will need to purchase a replacement. The pen is untested but in Very Good Cosmetic Condition as is the Pencil . The pencil is a 400 series mechanical pencil , untested as well as I don't have any lead. Its missing the eraser which I forgot to note in the condition report. The box has a stain on the top as shown . I am unsure if this is what is referred to as a Sheaffer " Balance" or not . The nib is a 14k two tone Gold Lifetime . I assume that this is some sort of transistional pen as the barrel has threads into the celluloid and a threaded gold ring as well. It has a Lever Action as you can see. I am not an expert so please ask all questions prior to purchase. You can play expert - use the pics to make your own assement. The set is Estate Fresh and As Found - as stated the pen needs an ink sac replacement . View each and every pic to help assess cosmetic condition .
