A graded SGC VG-EX 4 – 1956 Topps card of Hall of Famer Hank Aaron of the Milwaukee Braves. This is the "White Back" variation that features a white cardboard stock on the back of the card. The action photo in the background is actually a photo of Hall of Famer Willie Mays, with airbrushed Braves uniform. This example has no creasing, bold printing, beautiful color, excellent focus and bright borders. The corners are consistent with those found on most EXMT/EXMT+ examples. The printing is shifted slightly to the right, but the card still displays well. There is a light diagonal indentation (approx. 3/4" long) that extends from the bottom edge upward at a 45 degree angle towards the player's mouth. There is lighter diagonal indentation (approx. 1/2" long) above it that is almost parallel to the one below. There are two light curved indentations (each approx. 1/2" long) below the bill of the cap. There is also an extremely light diagonal indentation (approx. 1/2" long) to the left of the player's face. All of the indentations can be seen when the card is tilted to the light, but they are not noticeable at first glance. On the back of the card, there are light diagonal indentations (each approx. 1/4" long) on each of the lower corners, but they do not appear to go through to the front. They could be the result of the card being stored in a photo album using "photo corners". Perhaps the way the cards were arranged on the pages may explain the indentations on the front. The back is clean with bold printing. Without the indentations, this card would be a strong candidate for an SGC 6 holder. Even as is, this card still displays very well for the grade, since the indentations are only visible upon very close inspection. This card would be a great addition to any collection!
