They are probably made of celluloid and have been hand painted with lovely colors. 4 brooches depict a maiden and 1 brooch has a cherub / angel on it. They were all made by the same maker, in West Germany and are marked 'Made in W Germany' on the pins on the back.Quite rare to have 5 of them still together! Made around 1940-1950.Dimensions:Largest brooch: about 3 1/4 inch x 2 inch or 8.5 cm x 5 cmSmallest brooch: about 2 1/4 inch x 1 1/2 inch or 5.8 cm x 4 cmCondition: Good antique condition.
