Description: Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger lead the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith for the Roman Catholic Church. He would go on later to become Pope Benedict the 16th. His work for the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith meant that he produced many scholastic writings about Christian theology and practice. While often fairly conservative in his outlook, he was an extremely intelligent theologian whose works deserve some thought, if not complete agreement. Feast of Faith is a paperback in brand new condition, with no writing inside and no turned corners. In this book, the author looks at the theological basis not only of prayer and liturgy, but also of church music. He even considers change and permanence in liturgy, which shows his focus on the way for the church of the past may engage with the culture of a modern day. And the truth will make you free is a small booklet printed by Ignatius Press in 1987. The short pamphlet looks at many of the questions the modern church has concerning sexuality and procreation, as well as medical procedures for research, or fertilization. This booklet is almost like new with no writing on the inside and no turned corners or creases. Without Roots looks at relativism, Christianity, and the church’s connection to culture. This book has about six pages with some underlining or marks on them, but otherwise the book is in like new condition. As a retired priest, I am looking for a good home for any of the books that I have collected over the years.
