Description: Offered for sale is a set of gorgeous AZURE BLUE sherbet / champagne glasses in the "Baroque" pattern of Elegant Depression Glass. The "Baroque" pattern was manufactured by the Fostoria Glass Company of Ohio from 1936-1966; however, the blue was discontinued (I believe) in 1944. I believe that I read that in Hazel Marie Weatherman's book on Fostoria Glass. After decades of buying and selling Depression Glass (both elegant and A-Z), I can tell you that the blue is HARD-TO-FIND!! You just never saw it around. Recently, I came across some blue at an estate sale and I am sharing it with you. These sherbets stand 4 inches tall - a bit tall for a sherbet. That is why some people use this size glass as a champagne or cocktail glass. This footed glass is paneled and features 3 fleur-de-lis around the body of the glass. This is a sturdy pattern and will last you a lifetime. CONDITION: Two of the sherbets are MINT and look to have never been used. Two of the sherbets have what look like "spider lines" in them - you can see a line or lines and you can feel the line on one side of the glass when using your fingernail. It doesn't seem to be a crack as it does not go through to both sides. I believe that it is something that happened during the molding process but I have to consider it a defect. SO, you are buying two mint blue sherbets and two very good sherbets with "lines". Please see the photos, check my feedback, and ask any questions before making a purchase. I have adjusted the prices according to the glassware.
