Selections From Le Morte Darthur by Sir Thomas Malory, Introduction, Notes and Glossary by William Edward Mead, The Atheneum Press, 1897. 348 pages. 7.4 inches x 5 inches. Cover hinges split. Binding is intact. Pages all easily readable. A few cases of minor notational marks. Pages are generally in good condition. One page has tears on top edge, with text unaffected. Ink stain in margin on same oage. Pages have wrinkling of bottom inner corner. Cover has scuffs and edgewear. Small cloth splits on spine corners. Fair condition. Very serviceable for reading or study. Two Romances of the Death of Arthur, with an introduction by Lucy Alan Paton, 209 pages. 7 inches x 4.5 inches. J. M. Dent. Undated, except for note by Paton dated 1912, so print date is obviously same or later. Cover spine has been repaired with library covering. Titled with white marker. Binding is showing separation, but no loose pages. Usable, but should be considered fragile. Pages in good reading condition. A few minor notational marks in first romance. These romances predate the Malory classic and differ somewhat in content. Fair to poor because of binding, but usable with care.
