Scorpio Horoscope Necklace, Oct Nov Star Sign Jewelry, Zodiak Long Boho Pendant

Description: This Boho pendant necklace is a Zodiac theme, a Scorpio. A chunky irregular rounded rock like shape, narrower on top, wider on bottom, which I formed by hand in polymer clay. The Scorpio symbol is carved into the centre. I carved little flower motifs into the polymer clay, and pressed in some texture patterns. There is also the word Scorpio carved into the pendant, under the star sign motif, in tiny primitive letters. The cured clay I then painted in black, after which I rubbed antique gold metallic gilders paste across the surface, allowing the dark under paint to show through in the carved crevices and the M and tail symbol. Through little holes I threaded black coated beading wire from which I dangled 3 vintage rescued old jewelry pieces. There is a distressed gold toned metal leaf, round silver toned rose bead, and a wood bead, a brass chain, and a brass toned and plastic flat flower and flat round bead and plastic semi clear white bead. The bail I formed in dark brass toned soft thick jewelry wire, and it stretches out in 2 arms. From the bail ends I strung narrow black satiny flat cord and brown round cotton poly cord. There are 2 decorative gold brass toned tube beads, and the findings are antique gold toned connector and brass toned metal ribbon clamps. The necklace does not need to be done up and undone, but can be slipped right over the head to wear.The pendant I have sealed in a satin, non yellowing clear coat meant for polymer clay and acrylic. SIZE: The Scorpio pendant and the 3 dangling pieces plus the bail arms are 4 1/2" long, and the pendant is 1 3/4" wide at its widest point, so fairly large but not heavy and huge. The cord is 10 1/4" per side so about 20 1/2" all around, not including the bail and pendant. So, this is a long necklace, that does hang below the bust. CARE: The clear coated polymer clay pendant though durable and long lived, is not totally indestructible, and though accidental wetting is fine, I do not recommend it be worn in pools, hot tubs, or showers, mainly due to the paint, finishes and clear coat, as well as the satin and cotton cord which would harden and rot with wetting, eventually. ALWAYS take off and fasten on your necklace with patience and care, do not yank or pull or stretch it aggressively beyond it's natural length, and it will treat you right and reward you by lasting a long time. I recommend a necklace hanger.
