Schaublin 120 VM Lathe

Description: This is a Schaublin 120 VM engine lathe made in Switzerland to very high standards. The 120 VM is a very heavy, rigid machine capable of doing very nice work. It has the finest feeds of any lathe that I have ever used. The center height of the lathe is 120 mm which gives a swing of 9.44 inches. Work length is 600mm (23.62 inches) The controls are set up for English measurements. Included with the lathe are a 3 jaw chuck, tool holder, steady rest, face plate, Swiss style tool holder and drawbar for Schaublin W25 collets. I have some extra W25 collets I can supply at extra cost if the buyer would like to have the convenience of being able to do machining on smaller round stock. I have taken a photo of two of the ways (One V way and one flat way) located in the center of the lathe which shows some damage. These ways are only for sliding the tailstock back and forth. The damaged area is so close to the headstock that it would probably never be necessary for the tailstock to be positioned on the damaged portion of the ways. The carriage rests on ways along the sides of the lathe which are completely separate from the damaged areas shown in the photo. This design is very convenient because it helps prevent swarf from getting on the carriage ways. 3 phase motor. Original Paint as shown in the photos. I have 4 change gears for this lathe marked 75, 80, 95, 120. These lathes do not come up for sale here in the US very often. So this is a chance to obtain one of the finest tool room type lathes ever made. This lathe can be picked up in Westcliffe, Colorado or arrangements can be made to ship the lathe to US domestic locations. Note: For some reason the listing shows a shipping charge of $13.30 which I was unable to remove from the listing template. This charge is not correct. This lathe weighs about 1800 lbs. and so of course cannot be shipped for $13.30.
