It has built-in strainer holes, confirming its vintage status. The original patent number may be found inside the lid. It has a delightful hand painted, green and gold striped handle. It should be noted, the teapot is in excellent condition with some gilding wear on the side of the handle. The original lid fits perfectly with no evidence of wear. There are no chips or cracks.
