Description: Original scarce BLUE RIBBON can label. When Mount Saint Helens erupted on May 18, 1980 and covered the Yakima Valley in 1 inch of ash, one fruit packer decided to cash in on this natural disaster. A good example of making lemonade from lemons as the ash cleanup was a real mess as I remember. Snokist did pack cans of real Mt. Saint Helens ash on May 21, 1980 and put this label on it. Notice its a low calorie food!Ash was packed by Snokist Growers in Yakima, Washington. Label is in mint condition, but does have handling marks. I will combine shipping on auctions.
