The cel (foreground) is not from the production of the cartoon. It is a genuine early example produced by the Jay Ward Studios using the same methods and techniques as those used for producing the cels for the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. In 1971, Jay Ward opened The Dudley Do-Right Emporium. It offered Rocky and Bullwinkle merchandise including scene cels created to meet the demand of collectors. For the first three years, cels were matted over the trimmed, hand-painted backgrounds leftover from the show. This has one of those backgrounds. It is all original and unaltered. Needs to be rematted, framed and conserved to save it for future Rocky and Bullwinkle fans.
