Description: Item is a scarce 1930s 3/4” enamel lapel stud issued in conjunction with the Tim Pie Eaters Club. The character later became associated with Superman. This item is from the Pre-Superman era. Shows an image of Tim facing to the right as views with PIE EATERS CLUB in block letters atop and Tim in script below. Has standard screw type back of a lapel pin. Item rates at Good; but does have substantial cracking to the enamel and some missing enamel. I am not sure that the screw back which goes on the grooved post is original to the item. Being offered in this condition only because of the scarcity of the item. Only one I have seen in 40 years of collecting. Submission of a bid or purchase of the item is an acknowledgment on the part of the buyer that there is cracked and missing enamel, as noted above.
