Written by rocker Glenn Danzig (of the band Danzig), Satanika is an adults-only comic which combined hardcore violence, sex, and creatures from the pit into a cult favorite. Story/Spoilers: In issue #0, “Obscenity”, Satanika’s complete origin. A battle in Heaven ends with demons being cast down. The demon Dalkiel brutally rapes a woman ending in her death. As her blood flows onto a worm, it spawns Satanika. Enraged, she had come into this world… a screaming devil-thing!!! She flies to the desert outskirts where she brutally battles a pack of coyotes. Back in the city, a violent rape by a gang draws Satanika into their midst. Satanika brutally kills them all and ventures deeper into the city where she continues to kill. Eyewitnesses tell of her horror. The demon Dalkiel takes notice… Next in issue #2, “The Brimstone Trail - Part 2”, The demon Dalkiel dispatches demons to massacre a bus full of people. As the carnage ends Satanika shows up and rips the demons to shreds. One demon escapes to report to the demon Dalkiel. Igrat, an assassin from Hell, is sent to take out Satanika… Finally in issue #3, “The Brimstone Trail - Part 3”, Igrat, the assassin from Hell, confronts Satanika. The battle is long, brutal and bloody. With the demon Dalkiel and Satan keeping watch, the outcome is never in doubt.
