Born in Tehran and an accomplished artist even as a child, his talents were first exercised professionally in textile design, his greatest accomplishment being the designs he created for the Shah of Iran. He later moved to Germany and developed his love for the female form by painting oil portraits using the professional pseudonym ‘Sara Moon’. From the mid-1970s to the early 1990s his work grew in popularity, bringing him international fame with prints of his works selling fast in retail outlets from poster stores to major galleries. Now, long since retired, Bijan has released his personal archive stock for sale in their very limited numbers. No print offered has ever been personally signed more than 100 times - and most, far less.
