He went to Israel in 1962 and settled there. Liberman was commisioned by the Government of Israel to make portraits on many occasions. in 1965 he was commisioned by the Government of Israel to make a portrait of the President of Guinea and it hangs in the Royal Palace. Sandu Liberman died in 1977.
