Description: illy Art Collection: 1998 David Byrne "Silver Cup" Espresso sup/saucer special limited edition, signed and number (#261). No original box or brochure. Created by internationally renowed musician and artist David Byrne on the occasion of the artist's 1998 solo exhibition at the Museo Revoltella in Trieste that was sponsored by illy, the "silver Cup" was produced as a limited edition. Byrne was inspired by photography to create a cup that reflects its surrounding reality. A very special addition for an illy collector. --- Scottish-born David Byrne was raised in Baltimore where he briefly attended the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in 1971 after transferring from the Rhode Island school of Design (RISD) in Providence.
