This Professional has been upgraded with an extra heavy duty, extra thick tanto blade in BDC. Boye Dendritic Cobalt is a super-performing, non-rusting cobalt-based alloy. It is not steel so it has extra properties and is difficult to work with. Sal is one of the few makers that regularly use it. (Google says it excels on tough fibers such as hi-tech rigging line, deck line, and net. It cuts aggressively and keeps cutting, is completely impervious to seawater corrosion, and is non-magnetizeable.) Blade has a perfect hand satin. It has his signature hand checkering on the zirconium thumbdisc and ti backspacer. Matte polished black zirconium bolsters and milled clip. Matte polished carbon fiber scales. Egg-shell finished ti liners with rounded internal edges. Sal's maker's mark is engraved on the inside of the backspacer.
