Description: S Kirk 11 oz Silver Mug or Cup 917/1000 Silver Purity .in near pristine estate condition.This is a very early and and a wonderful example of the finest Baltimore historic silver.Hand crafted repousse Mug Cup by S Kirk Hand made approximately c1829 showing deep and crisp hand chasing and repousse decor including Pagodas, flowers tree’s and lovely foliage. Almost 200 years of American/ Early Baltimore Silver. The Cartouche shows what appears to be WC to LAH. The hand engraved monogram is somewhat light and could be removed and re monogrammed should you wish. Underneath the Mug is an inscription Born the 11th of June 1829.Along with S Kirk and the number 11 which was a Baltimore assay mark for sterling silver. There are no dings or dents noted.Stippled background. Approximately 4” height, 2 1/2” diameter and 209.2 Troy grams. Please note that my pictures are part of my description.
